Tang Hall Primary School is celebrating after winning a gold Artsmark award.
Arts Council England's Artsmark award recognises schools that demonstrate a commitment to providing opportunities across all art forms from drama to music, design to literature, dance to sculpture. More than 700 awards were given out to schools across the country, but only 274 were gold.
Ken Taylor, head teacher, said: "I am delighted that the Arts Council has recognised Tang Hall Primary's progressive, well-balanced arts education programme which enables pupils to work with local artists.
"The award also recognises the excellent work taking place in school and through extra-curricular clubs run by regular school staff."
