TRAMWAYS lead Cueball in division one in York and District Snooker Association's Summer Handicap League after having played three matches.
They beat Scotia Software 3-1, drew 2-2 against Cueball Club and beat Ebor 3-1.
Cueball are in second place after beating Railway Institute 4-0, drawing 2-2 with Tramways and also Scotia Software. Simon Barrass made a 41 break for Cueball.
Ebor are third following a 4-0 win over Groves, a 2-2 draw at Railway Institute and a 3-1 defeat by Tramways.
Burton Stone Lane WMC lead division two after three 3-1 wins, over Castle 'A', St Lawrence's and Severus Club. Glen Mountain made a 57 break against St Lawrence's and a 47 break against Severus.
St Lawrence's are in second place after two 3-1 defeats, by Burton Lane and Severus, and then a 4-0 win over Castle 'B', when Bill Frances made a 45 break for St Lawrence's.
Stonebow are third after two 3-1 wins, against Castle 'A' and Severus.
The team knockout competition will be sponsored by Castle Snooker Club. All first round matches will be played on Thursday, July 10.
The next monthly handicap knockout competition will be on Wednesday, June 23, at the Cueball Club, James Street, starting at 7.15pm. The entry fee is £5 and the competition is open to all. Each player will be issued with a handicap on the night.
York and District Snooker Association's next monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, July 1, at the Cueball Club, starting at 8pm. Each club in the league should send one representative to monthly meetings.
