Dunnington have taken a giant stride towards their dream of a place at Lord's.
The York and District Senior League champions beat highly-rated Guisborough by 22 runs in a run-fest at Common Road to win their group final of the ECB National Club Cricket Championship.
Former West Indian Test bastman Collis King smashed a glorious 132 against a side who had already knocked out Yorkshire League sides York and Scarborough.
Dunnington's reward for a famous victory is a trip to Gosforth to face South Northumberland a week on Sunday.
The winners of that match will take on the Scottish regional winners.
Against North Yorkshire and South Durham League outfit Guisborough, Dunnington amassed a huge total of 286 from their 45 overs.
The main feature was a third-wicket stand of 174 between skipper King and Dave Greenlay (76).
Guisborough set off at a tremendous lick in their effort to chase the runs and openers S Clifford (37) and R Dunn (59) put on 88 but man-0f-the-match King entered the attack and wickets started to fall regularly as he bowled in tandem with Hamid Khan (3-54).
King capped an outstanding individual performance with 4-45 to go with his century as Guisborough were bowled out for 264 in the 44th over.
Fellow York and District Senior League side Easingwold, who are in another group, are also still in the competition.
