Dunnington stormed back from 19-17 down to beat Bubwith 66-42 in division one of the Tyke Petroleum Men's Tennis League.
Unbeaten Mike Taylor and Andy Peek-Vout scored 25, while Ian Driffill and Oliver Moore made a good reply with 23, including 10-2 in the first set.
Wheldrake had the edge over Riccall with 24 games from David Parish and George Tattersall, whose opening 11-1 was the only decisive score.
Division two front-runners Strensall lost their 100 per cent record 45-63 to Appleton Roebuck whoser Matthew Kilgallon, the Leeds United footballer, and Tom Shouksmith top scored with 24. Strensall's Mark Hawarth and James Whitwell were the only unbeaten pair.
York moved into second place with a 59-49 win at Boston Spa. Howard Pallister and John Dyson top scored with 23 and their opening 11-1 put Boston Spa in an impossible position.
Civil Servicedropped to the bottom after a 67-41 beating by Dunnington II. Doug Lowe and Anthony Downing scored 28.
Castlegarth's lead in division three remains at one point, despite another win, 74-34 against Cawood, Mike Park and Matthew Vines winning 29 games.
Castlegarth II beat Wigginton II by 85-23, but lost their second place to Poppleton II who scored 88 against Knaresborough II, John Schofield and Charles Bush dropping only three games. York II beat Bishopthorpe by two games. Geoff Wynn and Reg Favell scored 21 but despite scoring 22 in the last rubber, Bishopthorpe could not win.
Sherburn's lead in division four was consolidated with a 63-45 victory against Riccall II. Nigel Huggins and Steve Caslake built up 23 games but lost to Paul Bratley and Steve Smowton (19). Rufforth lost to Copmanthorpe II, whose Paul Guilfoyle and Chris Scott score of 23 was matched by Andy Ivel and David Laws.
Sherburn stayed top of division four after beating Rufforth 61-47 with 23 games from Peter Vause and Barrie Manson, who lost 9-3 to Chris Laws and Andy Goodchild. New Earswick moved into the top half after a 58-50 win over Heworth. It was close after 72 games, but New Earswick took 23 of the last 36.
Wheldrake II, who have played two more than their nearest rivals, stayed top of division five after scoring 72 against Strensall II. David Fenton and Bryn Jones won 27 games, including a 12-0 whitewash.
Cliffe bea Nestl 57-51 despite being behind after 36 games. For Nestl, Clive Christison and Matt Lowery were unbeaten with 24, while Dave Hall and John Leetham replied with 23.
In division six, Dunnington III lost their first match to Next Generation 52-56. Dunnington were eight down before pulling back to 35-37, but they fell short. Rob Doyle and Mark Guildford (Next Generation) were top scorers with 21.
Bishopthorpe II won their first match, 66-42 against New Earswick II. Nick Waters and Matt Steele won 27 games.
