FASHION students will be given the chance to showcase their fabulous creations in a special show at Selby Abbey next week.
Students from all fashion courses at Selby College will be taking part in the event at the Abbey on June 25 and 26. The show is an annual event, but this will be the first time it has enjoyed such a spectacular location. The garments featured in the show have been designed, cut and produced by the students themselves, who chose their own themes for their collections.
Visitors to the show will be treated to clothes with themes as varied as Barbie, Hollywood glamour, Bond girls and Military.
Music and lighting will be provided by the college's media students and all the models will be college members.
Mary Goldthorpe, lecturer in fashion, said: "I am very pleased with the quality of garments the students have produced. They have all worked really hard for the show.
"Everyone is incredibly excited and particularly looking forward to presenting the show in the Abbey."
The show is open to the public with tickets priced at £3 on sale at Selby Abbey gift shop, New Options Finkle Street, or by calling student services at Selby College on 01757 211040.
