A BANNED driver who repeatedly took to the wheel to relieve stress was jailed for three months by York magistrates.
Steven Ovenden, prosecuting, said Wayne Henry Bond, 20, crashed into a tree in Beckfield Lane, Acomb, York, on May 18. He was banned from driving after several previous offences of driving while disqualified and dangerous driving.
Bond, of Ashton Avenue, Clifton, York, who admitted driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on May 18, was also given eight penalty points.
His solicitor, Kevin Blount, said he found driving a relaxation.
