THE Hunters York Senior League Under-21 side which has been selected for the second round match in the White Rose Trophy is made up of players from ten different clubs.
The side to play Doncaster League tomorrow at Scholes, near Wentworth, shows three changes from the team who defeated the Pontefract League by three wickets in the first round.
Top scorer Nick Harrison (Sessay), who made 29, and leading bowler Danny Snowball (Sheriff Hutton Bridge), who took 5-19, are both required by their clubs, whose national Village Trophy area semi-final games have been re-arranged after being rained off last Sunday.
Their places are taken by Matt Dickenson (Acomb) and Thirsk's Richard Bentley, who is one of the leading wicket-takers in the premier division. The other change sees Scarborough opener David Morris, who was unavailable for the previous round, replacing James Turnbull (Osbaldwick).
Turnbull's club-mate Chris Oldfield again leads the side, which contains only two players from the same club with Hull Zingari's Anthony Knowles and wicket keeper Nick Biggs in the line-up.
Hunters York Senior League Under-21: Chris Oldfield (Osbaldwick, capt), David Morris (Scarborough), Richard Bowling (Heworth), Anthony Knowles (Hull Zingari), Matt Dickinson (Acomb), Gary Blackburn (Ripon), Chris Pitts (Carlton Towers), James Bryan (Studley Royal), Nick Biggs (Hull Zingari), Peter Richardson (Duncombe Park), Richard Bentley (Thirsk).
