THE new editor of the Evening Press says the chance to join the paper was too great an opportunity to miss.
Kevin Booth, 45, right, who has been editor of the Peterborough Evening Telegraph for the past three years, will take over at York in September.
He said it would be a wrench for him to leave the Telegraph after three successful years, with a capable and dedicated editorial team.
"However, the chance to join the Evening Press was too great an opportunity to miss. The paper has an excellent reputation and I now look forward very much to working with the staff there in developing the title for the future".
