CONDITIONS at York have dried out ahead of the two-day meeting on Knavesmire, which features the £75,000 William Hill Trophy tomorrow.
After walking the track ahead of today's first day, clerk of the course William Derby said: "It's good to firm. It was good yesterday but we only had spits and spots of rain - about one millimetre.
"I've spoken to the Met Office and they were predicting a low for tomorrow but they are now saying that low pressure hasn't really developed. We might get two to five millimetres in an isolated shower tomorrow but not as much as they were thinking.
"I will look at it this evening whether I water or not."
Thirsk trainer Kevin Ryan has ruled Miss Mirasol out of tomorrow's William Hill Trophy.
He said: "She doesn't run I'm afraid. She worked yesterday and she didn't work well enough."
