YORK COLLEGE students returned from the regional Skillbuild finals with a clutch of medals.
The awards ceremony, held in Bradford, aims to recognise the efforts of students in a range of categories.
In the painting and decorating section, Craig Robinson, from York, won a silver and Richard Moyse, from York, won a bronze.
In the brickwork section, Gary Smales, of Selby, won gold.
In the furniture and cabinet-making section, Karl Smith, of Richmond, also won gold.
Kevin Clancy, work-based learning manager at the college, said: "Once again the college has performed well in Skillbuild and it is good to have the different trades winning through each year.
"All of the students in construction work hard learning the skills from the individual trades and the staff are very supportive of the Skillbuild competition.
"To gain recognition at this level is very rewarding.
"I wish all the regional medallists well in the national finals."
All medal winners will go to the national finals, being held in Darlington later in the year.
