A Selby man is taking the plunge for the second time this year to raise money for charity.

Keith Lister, 43, is doing a bungee jump at Brayton Community Centre on July 19 to raise cash for the York Haematology Trust Fund based at York Hospital.

Keith's wife, Jane, has undergone treatment for leukaemia at the hospital for the last four-and-a-half years.

"The staff have looked after Jane very well, being very sympathetic to her needs, and I feel I want to give something back for the support she has received," said Keith.

The father-of-four had a taste of the high life earlier this year when he undertook a sponsored abseil down a silo at Westmill Foods, raising £300 for Selby RUFC Mini Rugby team.

This will be the second time he has done a bungee jump, and he has already been sponsored £200 by the Arnold Laver company in Leeds to wear one of its T-shirts.

"I was nervous as hell last time, but it was a fantastic feeling and I am looking forward to this one," said Keith.

Anyone interested in making the jump can contact Kerry Tomlinson on 01757 212748.

If you would prefer to keep your feet on the ground, there is a form to sponsor Keith at The Albion Vaults in New Street, Selby.
