MORE than 100 North Yorkshire social services staff have been recognised for their efforts.
The dedicated employees, many of whom work directly with people in their own homes, day centres, or residential establishments, support a vast number of people across the county.
They were presented with awards at a special event at County Hall, Northallerton, by executive members for social services, Councillors Murray Naylor and Caroline Patmore and Rosemary Archer, director of social services for North Yorkshire.
Coun Naylor said: "People need the highest quality services and we can make sure they get the best by having staff who are well-trained and competent in their work."
Mrs Archer said: "I am extremely proud of the dedication and commitment of staff in achieving these awards and appreciate the hard work which has been put into achieving such successful results."
