SIX-YEAR-OLD Millie Gaston has been trying out the fashions of the future in a warm-up for next month's Great Yorkshire Show.
Millie, from Knaresbrough, enjoyed a sneak preview of the creations to be showcased on the catwalk next month in the fashion shows at the top agricultural event.
"The fashion show has become one of the most popular features and never fails to attract the crowds," said honorary show director Christopher Hall.
"The garments proved a great hit last year, and from what we have seen here today, the designs are certainly inspired."
Millie's mum, Liz, is a tutor at the School of Textiles and Design at the University of Leeds, whose students designed the catwalk fashions for the show at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.
The designs will be on view in daily catwalk shows from Tuesday, July 8, to Thursday, July 10, and will also feature this month at London's prestigious Graduate Fashion Week.
As well as seeing the top designers of the future, visitors to the Great Yorkshire Show will have the chance to make their mark with their own creations, with T-shirt, bead and paper-weight designing being incorporated for the very first time.
