GUNNERS fire a 21-gun salute in York's Museum Gardens today to celebrate the birthday of Prince Philip.
Members of a troop comprising gunners from 5 Regiment Royal Artillery, 22 Regiment Royal Artillery and 40 Regiment Royal Artillery paid the tribute at noon.
The event was hosted by Brigadier David Shaw, the Army Commander for York Garrison and the North East. The Lord Mayor of York, Coun Charles Hall, also carried out an inspection.
