NESTLE Double Cream, the York-based company's first new chocolate bar in five years, has scooped a major award.
The chocolate won best new brand at this year's Marketing Society Awards. Nestl Rowntree also won best brand development for Quality Street's Green Triangle and the Big Purple One.
Andrew Harrison, director of marketing for Nestl Rowntree was awarded Marketer of the Year, beating 20 other marketers to clinch the top title.
The company was nominated for more Marketing Society Awards than any other company. Two of its other chocolate products,
Yorkie and Milkybar Munchies were highly commended.
John Sunley, managing director of Nestl Rowntree. said: "We are delighted to have won so many awards at this prestigious event, it is testament to the continuous hard work undertaken by staff at Nestl Rowntree."
