Le Meridien can show her rivals a clean pair of heels tomorrow at Beverley on a day when many of the jockeys will be journeying to Scotland in the evening for Hamilton's 'Saints & Sinners' meeting.
Robert Winston, who will be among those heading north, has been booked to partner Le Meridien in the Betfair Fillies' Handicap over five furlongs.
Trained by John Wainwright, the five-year-old is a previous course-and-distance winner and gave notice that her winning turn was near at hand again with a sterling effort to finish fourth to Frizzante at Doncaster on Saturday.
Betfair, the betting exchange firm, is sponsoring the entire card at Beverley, including the featured £10,000 Showcase Handicap, which looks a good opportunity for Sualda to open his seasonal account.
Previously trained in Lambourn for Clive Cox, the gelding is now with Richard Fahey, who looks to be bringing him nicely to the boil.
There was much to like about Sualda's latest fourth-placed effort at Redcar and he will appreciate tomorrow's slightly longer distance.
Paul Hanagan, who rode the last winner - Sewmuch Character - at Pontefract last night, takes the mount on Sualda, who is my Nap selection.
David Chapman seems to have found the key to Peartree House, who has been in cracking form since joining his Stillington yard earlier this year.
Now a nine-year-old, the battle-hardened veteran is nothing like the horse he once was in his prime, but he is running consistently well in run-of-the-mill events and tomorrow's seven-and-a-half furlongs handicap offers him another opportunity to pay for his corn. Tony Culhane has the mount.
Chapman also has good prospects in the opening race at Hamilton, the Littlewoods Bet Direct Amateur Riders' Handicap, with Sharp Hat.
The nine-year-old has been in cracking form lately, winning at Musselburgh and Catterick. It would come as no surprise to see him complete a hat-trick in this six-furlongs dash.
Former leading National Hunt jockey Peter Niven, who is now training near Malton, could well land the most valuable race in the north tomorrow, the £20,000 Famous Grouse Scotch Whisky Handicap, with Sono.
The German recruit turned in a solid display at Pontefract recently when finishing a one-length second to Swynford Pleasure, conceding the winner the best part of two stones.
He should go well over the same distance here with Paul Hanagan, after making the journey from Beverley, on board.
The Walter Scott Saints & Sinners Challenge Cup looks a good opportunity for Tony Tie to return to the winning groove.
The seven-year-old, a previous course and distance winner, is trained by Jim Goldie, whose horses are in brilliant form at present.
Tomorrow's other race meetings are at Hereford (afternoon), Market Rasen (afternoon) and Newbury (evening).
