HISTORY promises to be right under your feet with a special event in a North Yorkshire seaside town this week.
The Scarborough Community Heritage Initiative will be beating the bounds of the old town with a colourful, noisy procession along Castle Road, through the shopping centre, and finishing at the Town Hall.
Lively music will be performed by Hamps Tramps and along the route sketches of Scarborough history will be re-enacted as part of the ancient tradition, which was revived last year.
The entertainment and parade begin outside the gate of Scarborough Castle, at 11am, on Sunday.
Everyone is welcome to join in or watch and the parade route - mostly downhill - is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
