A MAN who has been seeking to modernise the NHS across the north of England has been appointed as the new boss of York Hospital.
Jim Easton, 39, previously director of development in the Directorate of Health and Social Care (North), will replace the outgoing chief executive of the York Health Services NHS Trust, Simon Pleydell, in September.
Mr Easton has 15 years of experience in the NHS, and his current responsibilities include modernisation of the health service across the north of England.
