GIVEN that the standard of English - spelling, grammar and punctuation - in the Evening Press is frequently higher than in national newspapers, I was disappointed to read the headline: "York is the world's most spooky city" (June 5).

The correct superlative in UK English of the adjective spooky is spookiest. Please keep your standards of English at their usual high level.
