I WAS so disappointed to learn City of York Council is planning to re-house residents of Clarendon Court to allow the building to be "revamped" as a convalescent home (June 4).
Surely there are old folks' homes that have closed and lie empty which could be bought and refurbished to suit the situation?
With so much property on the market at the moment, I find it hard to believe that Clarendon Court is the only suitable accommodation available.
I do hope Coun Galloway and his colleagues will reconsider their decision.
