TOP of the crop at the annual Kilnwick Percy GC Farmers' Day competition was a team from Appleton-le-Moors.
The quartet of team-leader Bernard Feaster, Ben Beesau, Robin Cass and Richard Carr took the honours with a nett 153 to receive their prize from Christine Andrews, the northern officer for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
Second were the Bank of Scotland team of Brian McLelland, Garry Ridsdale, Scott Campbell and Stuart Wardhaugh (nett 156), with third place going to Driffield's David Massey, Richard Kirby, Adrian Bird and Guy Nettleton (157).
Played over an Am-Am strokeplay format with the best two nett scores counting on each hole, the event - the seventh staged by Kilnwick Percy and sponsored by BATA Ltd and Trident Feeds - raised more than £900 for RABI.
