TIRED youngsters slept soundly through the night after toddling hard for half-a-mile to raise money for charity.
Children at Joseph's Nursery, Rawcliffe Lane, York, walked around the nursery's garden eight times, as part of a national sponsored toddle for Barnardos.
Babies in pushchairs and children aged up to five completed the walk, while enjoying music and refreshments. Helen Dunn, nursery nurse, said: "The feedback we've had has been absolutely excellent. The children all enjoyed it and a lot of them went for picnics with their parents afterwards. All the parents said the children slept right through last night and had to be woken up this morning."
A quarter of the money raised will help buy toys, equipment and resources for the nursery.
