A BURGLAR who raided a house in the York street where he lives has been jailed for two years.
Diane Campbell, prosecuting, said Scott Green, 29, had been released from a prison sentence for offences including burglary two months before he broke into a house in Pottery Lane, on January 26.
He stole a PlayStation and computer games and told police later that the victim was a relative of his wife's.
At York Crown Court, Green, of Pottery Lane, pleaded guilty to burglary and was jailed for two years.
His barrister Geoff Parsons said he wanted to apologise to his wife of eight years, because he would be in prison when she needed him. Mrs Green is expecting their second child in November.
He was a heroin and cocaine addict.
