SIX people were today being rescued from a sinking fishing vessel, the Humber coastguard reported.
A spokeswoman for the coastguard said the boat was taking on water off Spurn Point.
She said: "The situation is currently ongoing. There are six people on board, no one is injured, they are all safe.
"We have a lifeboat and helicopter at the scene and we are working out what is the best way to get them off."
