WALKING the Yorkshire Dales for charity proved to be a hard slog for York and North Yorkshire's Army Cadets.
Teams of six cadets completed a gruelling 31-mile hike over 24 hours to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Exercise Hard Slog honed map reading, first-aid, observation, night navigation and orienteering skills.
A cheque for £7,916.13, pictured, was presented to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The event was won by Strensall Detachment, with Selby Detachment in third place.
