Huntington All Star Paul Morgan won the latest York CIU Race Walking League race held on his club's four-lap circuit.
Clocking 64mins 48secs, his handicap held good against second-placed Fulfordgate Flyer member Dave Long, who clocked 66-21.
The mass start of 16 walkers saw a good tussle between South Bank's Stuart Wilkinson (54-43) and ex-Great Britain international Dennis Jackson (54-24) before the Huntington man crossed the line first and took the third handicap spot.
Mark Bryne (Fulfordgate) recently completed two 50k races.
At the flat Isle of Man Open he was third with 5 hours 24 minutes and in the hilly Bradford Open he timed 5-31 to finish third again. Club colleague Dick Cole 6-42 also took part in the Bradford race.
The next league fixture is at Tang Hall on Wednesday, June 11 and on Saturday, June 28 the new Manchester-Blackpool 50 Mile Road Race Walk takes place in Stanley Park, Blackpool.
