A GUIDED walk will be held around a York conservation area full of hidden herbal medicine.
The walk, round York Cemetery, will be led by Ruth Sherratt, the original designer of the cemetery's herb garden.
Ms Sherratt said that even the most green-fingered people were likely to be surprised by the range of plant power hidden under their noses.
She said: "The walk is a discovery of mankind's many uses for plants from pre-Roman times to the present day, exploring the relationships between folk remedies, herbal medicine and orthodox treatments."
The walk will be held on Sunday, from 2pm.
Admission costs £2 (£1 concessions). For more details phone 01904 610578.
