BURN remain on top of Division Four after beating Heworth, who did well to restrict the leaders to 125-8. But Bob Robinson (4-8) and John Wilson (5-11) skittled out Heworth for 82.
Bishopthorpe are five points adrift of Burn after overcoming Drax. Andy Spence's 61 helped Bishopthorpe to 138-6 before Mike Brown took 5-41 to leave Drax 38 runs short.
Melbourne gained their first win by defeating Selby. With all the batsmen chipping in, a total of 163-7 proved too much for Selby who lost by 17 runs.
Bottom side Ovington also lost by 17 runs to York, whose Dave Murray took 3-29 and hit 34no.
Pocklington plunged from 60-1 to 120 all out at home to Acomb, who finished as eight-wicket winners.
In Division Five, the returning Steve Craven enabled Thorpe Willoughby to thrash Stockton and Hopgrove. His 37 from his side's 139 and 3-14, coupled with Alistair North's 5-15, crushed Stockton by 76 runs.
Tadcaster Magnet's Paul Wilson cracked five sixes in his pivotal 60no against Copmanthorpe. Until this innings Cop's 153-9 looked good enough to win but his rapid innings gave Magnet a three-wicket victory with 11 balls to spare.
Dave Southern's hat-trick was a highlight as Selby were shot out for 32 all out by leaders Wheldrake, who cruised to a seven-wicket win.
