HOLIDAY makers at Cawood Holiday Park were treated to a hair-raising experience by the park manager.
Graham Dainty, 54, leapt on to the stage during Sunday evening's entertainment to have his hair shaved off to raise money for St Leonard's Hospice, York.
Mr Dainty agreed to the event in memory of his wife, Jan, who died of cancer in January.
He said: "She was diagnosed as having terminal cancer and thought if she was going to lose her hair, then she wanted to do something for charity and have it shaved off on stage. The doctor told her the type of chemotherapy she would have would mean she wouldn't lose her hair. She was quite upset, so I did this for her."
Graham's efforts have so far raised £322.
