A MEMORIAL plaque will be put up in Pocklington Town centre to remember a town councillor who died suddenly.
Coun Barry Hodgson died in April after he was taken into York Hospital with a blocked bowel and suffered a stroke.
He had served on Pocklington Town Council for eight years and regularly attended the town's Pentecostal Church.
Councillors decided to mount a plaque on the bench outside the Breadbasket shop at The Pavement, as a tribute to Coun Hodgson's service to the town.
