ENGLAND all-rounder Craig White makes his first appearance of the season for Yorkshire at Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow in the three-day match against Bradford-Leeds Universities' Centre of Excellence.
White, who played in the Ashes se-ries and the World Cup during the winter, had an operation just before the start of the season to remove two inches of bone from the lower part of a rib.
He made his comeback for Scarborough a week last Saturday and will continue his recovery to full fitness in this game, although he will play solely as a batsman.
Also in Yorkshire's side for the first time this season as they try to pick up the pieces following three heavy defeats in eight days in three com-petitions, will be Gavin Hamilton, who has not played first team cricket for about a year after losing all confidence in his bowling.
He has batted well both with York-shire Seconds and his Bradford League club, East Bierley, but York-shire need to know that he is back to his all-round best before they can consider him for a Championship match.
Matthew Wood will again captain Yorkshire in the absence on Test duty of Anthony McGrath and young wicketkeeper Simon Guy gets his first game of the season although Richard Blakey retains his place as a batsman.
Yorkshire (v Bradford-Leeds Universities): Wood, White, Craven, Hamilton, Blakey, Guy, Bresnan, Gray, Dawson, Swanepoel, Sidebottom.
