DINERS at a York Italian restaurant will be able to snap up a piece of artwork as they eat.

Villa Italia has teamed up with York-based photographic firm Liquid Images and is exhibiting a range of prints on the walls of its Micklegate restaurant.

A total of 20 framed prints will be sold at £35 each and 15 per cent of every sale will go to Caroline's Rainbow Foundation, the charity established in memory of murdered York backpacker Caroline Stuttle. James Lowe, owner of Villa Italia, said: "I thought it would be a good idea to bring some local interest and colour to the restaurant walls. We're hoping to raise a lot of money for charity over the coming months."

Liquid Images is run by photographer, Tom Lambert, and business partner, Becky Quartermaine. The pair recently won the Young Entrepeneur of the Year award in the local Shell LiveWire competition.

Becky said: "We aim to depict the historical interest and beauty of the North Yorkshire area, including York, the coast, Dales and Moors."
