I COMMEND York Theatre Royal on its recent production of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting. The Studio setting gave an up-front, in-your-face setting, drawing you in and making you feel part of the play. The quality of the four actors shone through.
With nowhere to hide they played their roles to the limit, making the living hell of drugs and its disgusting aftertaste all too real.
The play was hard hitting, sadly real and excellently portrayed.
Sorry, P Wallis (Letters, May 30) you missed the point. I think it should be shown to all sixth-formers to give an insight into the real horrors of drugs.
