Dunnington'S batsmen really went to town at Carlton Towers when they recorded the second highest ever total in the Hunters the Estate Agent York and District Senior League premier division.
Their massive 304-7 has only been bettered by Heworth's 321-3 against Osbaldwick in 1999 and laid the platform for a 167-run win.
Hamid Khan led the way with 107 but runs also flowed freely from Collis King, who made 56, Kirk Powell (52), Dave Greenlay (30) and Harwood Williams (40).
Powell then produced one of the better premier all-round shows when he took 6-67 with Paul Wright (51) and Jamie Pocklington (28) making runs for Carlton who have now slipped to the foot of the division.
The margin of victory was a boost for Dunnington who had seen four of their five games casualties of the weather.
Heworth's batsmen were also on song at Clifton Alliance when a second-wicket stand of 145 between Matthew Atkinson (96) and Richard Bowling (55) set the pattern.
Paul Mosey then made 27no and Fayaz Mahmood 34 to steer Heworth to 254-7 in their 50 overs. John Hunter (3-25) was the best bowler for Clifton and then added 33 runs as he and Luke Wells (65) helped the hosts reach full batting points. Mahmood with 4-28 and Martin Sigsworth (3-44) then helped to remove eight Clifton batsmen but the Heworth over rate was below par and, when offered the chance of stumps after 47 overs, Clifton opted for a draw at 210-8.
Acomb are the only side in the division to record three wins following their latest successful run chase at Beverley.
Five Beverley batsmen made good contributions with Oliver Grantham emerging as top scorer with 78 out of 223-5. Acomb were then set on their way by Richard Sykes who hit 76. Chris Simpson (33) and Sanjay Rodrigo kept the board ticking then Andy Tute took his side to a six-wicket victory with an unbeaten 52.
Easingwold's improvement continued when they dished out the first defeat of the season to Pickering, who made 176-8, compiled by Mark Shepherd (41), Colin Frank (34), Craig Aconley (29) and Sean Stuchbery (27).
That proved to be inadequate as Easingwold skipper Martin Piercy continued his good form with an unbeaten 88. He had good support from Jonathan Marwood (33) and cousin Tom Piercy (29) as Easingwold rolled out a six-wicket victory.
Sessay are proving to be the surprise package of the division. The newly promoted side are in second place after gaining the better of a draw against an Osbaldwick side who seemed to be coasting to victory.
Batting first, Sessay found Shaun White a handful as he took 5-63 but managed to post a reasonable target when Nick Harrison made 37, Chris Till 26 and Richard Till 35 to take them to 159-7. Mark Thompson (32) and Andy Hall (33) then helped Osbaldwick to 131-5 but Steve Langstaff intervened to close with 4-52 and leave Osbaldwick struggling at 145-9.
Woodhouse Grange's Kamran Sajid took 6-42 and then made 43 at Thirsk but was unable to tip the scales in the Derwent side's favour.
Thirsk's Gary Kelson made 75, Dean Bramley 35 and Des Wyrill 31 to counter the Pakistani's bowling and the home side were able to reach 191 all out with Tom Quinn (3-40) also taking wickets.
Grange's reply was built on Nick Hadfield's unbeaten 78 and Sajid's runs but Barry Petty (3-62) again had valuable support from Richard Bentley as the young paceman took 3-31 to hold Woodhouse's reply to 157-7.
