A motorcyclist suffered serious leg and chest injuries after colliding with car at a rural road junction in East Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance took the man, who has not been named by police, to hospital after the crash on the B1253, near Sledmere.
The Yamaha R1 rider, who is from West Yorkshire, collided with the Peugeot 305 car at the junction of the Cottam and Weaverthorpe unclassified roads. The car driver was uninjured in the accident, which occurred as both vehicles were travelling east, on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. PC Mark Dixon, of Humberside Police, appealed for any witnesses to the accident, to contact him by telephoning 01377 253332. The man was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where his condition today was described as critical but stable.
