Thieves who try to steal sexy accessories and jewellery from a York sex shop window display have struck for the fourth time.
Shop owner Andrew Clark, of Xes in Goodramgate, said he was "sick and tired" of the attacks, which have left him with an expensive repair bill.
He plans to meet council officers to see if he can install removable shutters and will also ask if the city's CCTV system covers the busy shopping street.
He said: "We may well need planning consent as it is a listed building, but you have to make your property like Fort Knox now.
"It's not just us, it's other shop windows too. But it's very distressing for my wife and I and we are unhappy that yet again we have to spend more money on repairs."
Mr Clark said he had replaced the window with special reinforced glass and installed an alarm system after hundreds of pounds worth of stock was taken from the shop last year.
A spokeswoman for York Police confirmed that the attempted break-in had been reported. She said officers would have advised the owners on what crime prevention measures they could take.
She added that CCTV cameras did cover part of the Goodramgate area, but she was unaware if they covered these particular premises.
