A BURGLAR who was tied to a lawnmower after a householder found him in his garage and made a citizen's arrest was today in custody waiting to be sentenced.
Michael Kenneth Gath, 19, of Fairfield Crescent, Bramley, Leeds, appeared before Leeds magistrates yesterday to be sentenced for the burglary, which happened at Pilmoor, Helperby, near Easingwold, last month.
The case was adjourned, and so Gath will return to the court on Monday to be sentenced.
He will also be sentenced on a range of other offences, including driving while disqualified, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and theft from a motor vehicle.
