AN UNUSUAL technique to calm problematic horses will be on show in York this weekend.
Horse whisperer Adam Goodfellow will abandon traditional methods to calm three troublesome horses at the Rose Cottage Equestrian Centre, Moor Lane, Haxby, on Sunday. The demonstration, sponsored by the Brooke Hospital For Animals, will run between 2pm and 5pm.
Charity committee member Jane Binns is confident Adam will have good results.
She said: "He will let the horses lose with him in a pen, and drive them away until they want to come to him. It's a way of making them want to do something for you rather than forcing them to do it."
Tickets priced £10 adults, £5 for under-16s, are available from Denise Arkesy on 01944 758283, Jane Binns on 0113 2932893, or on the gate.
