RULES governing the relationship between the Supporters' Trust and York City's board of directors have been unveiled.
The 'Code of Conduct' sets out certain key decisions requiring Trust board ratification and the regular reporting of important matters by the club board to the Trust board.
It also ensures the club board will continue to pursue supporter involvement in the running of the club and
the Trust's control over director appointments and ownership of City.
Trust board member Kirsten Gillies said: "It was a very tough battle to save the club from extinction.
"The new club board are now making good progress to deliver a financially sustainable football club for the city of York and our fans and the 'Code of Conduct' will help ensure that continues to be the case."
In effect, the Trust owns the football club on behalf of its members with the six-strong board of directors overseeing the running of City on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
Last week, club directors reported to the Trust board on a variety of matters, including the club's finances, stadium development matters and various commercial issues.
In addition to its supervisory role, the Trust is pursuing its fund-raising role.
Supporters with money-making suggestions are asked to contact Gillies via the club or by e-mailing kirsten@ycst.org.uk
