Poppleton beat Riccall in division one of the Tyke Petroleum Men's Tennis League by 68-40 based on 31 games from John Moore and Mike Binns.
Bubwith had a good win over Sutton but by only two games. Bubwith's Ian Driffill and Cliff Harrison scored 24 but were bettered by Peter Thomas and Grant Pearce with 25. Wigginton resumed winning ways with a 59-49 success at Wheldrake. Stuart Conacher and Paul Airlie scored an unbeaten 25.
Dunnington's Andy Peake-Vout and Trevor Loten were unbeaten with 25 of Dunnington's 68 against Rowntree Park.
Civil Service had a good win over Copmanthorpe in division two. Philip Sinton and Andrew Crocektt scored 22, as did Graham Cook and Adrian McClaren, both with identical scores in the three rubbers.
Front-runners Strensall had a 60-48 win against Boston Spa, led again by Mark Hawarth and James Whitwell with 23. Appleton Roebuck's John Giles and Dave Bradley scored 30, including a 12-0 against Knaresborough's first pair. The score was 71-37.
Castlegarth II go top of division three beating Knaresborough II by a healthy 81-27. Both Roger Wright and David Curran and Ian Teasdale and Niall Wood scored 28 but the Knaresborough first pair won all three.
Stuart Robertson and James Langley were Wigginton II's top scorers with 26 against York II out of their 68 total. Poppleton II moved into the top three by beating Bishopthorpe 60-48 with 24 games from Dave Carlin and Rab McEwan.
In division four, Poppleton III managed two consecutive 59-49 wins against Riccall II and Copmanthorpe II. Gerry Davison, first with Terry Willey and then with Joe Dubriel, top-scored in both matches. Heworth sprung a surprise 60-48 win on Sherburn. Simon and Adam Gray were best with 25.
Strensall II continued their winning run in division five. Owen Berger and Daniel Pillai led with 25 games in their win at Nestl. Starbeck moved into second place beating Cliffe 63-45 despite Ian Smith and Dave Tomlinson's 22 games.
Richard Ekers and Ben Robinson notched 31 games in a welcome win for Fulford at Sheriff Hutton and they were again top scorers, though on the losing side at home to Wheldrake II, who go third in the table.
In division six, Dunnington III defended their unbeaten record beating Civil Service II 73-35 with 28 games coming from Dave Carver and Robert Rhodes. Boston Spa II went second with an 85-23 win over Bishopthorpe II.
