Acomb have taken over as Hunters the estate agent York and District Senior Cricket League premier division leaders.
Andy Tute set up a four-wicket victory over Easingwold to take Acomb above previous leaders Pickering, who were unable to make a start in their game against Beverley because of rain.
Martin Piercy, who made 33, was the only Easingwold batsman to show any resolve as Tute's 5-61 restricted them to 134-8.
Joey Burton scored 33 for Acomb and his team-mates were able to add the extra bit of support needed for victory.
Only four sides out of the 82 in action were able to claim the full quota of batting points by reaching the 200 mark and two of this elite quartet were in opposition at Clifton Alliance, where Aussie Luke Wells tipped the scales in the highest scoring game of the day.
Paul Wright made 92 for Carlton Towers and former Knaresborough player Lee Hanson got 61. With Mark Holmes weighing in with 30, Carlton were able to reach 222-9 despite good bowling by Richard Musgrave (4-48) and Luke Wells (3-14).
These two fronted Clifton's batting response, Wells making a decisive 86 and Musgrave 39 as Sam MacNally kept the visitors in the game with 3-57.
Mick Knowles clinched the points with an unbeaten 38 as Clifton moved to 223-6.
The game between Osbaldwick and Woodhouse Grange was reduced to 30 overs and apparently created some differing views with regard to the new slow over rate rule.
In the event, the match was drawn when Woodhouse Grange could reach only 94-3 after dismissing their hosts for 123.
Damon Aston top scored for the home side with 35 and then took three Grange wickets for 47.
Sessay moved into third place when they inflicted the first defeat of the season on Thirsk, who lost by nine wickets after being dismissed for 107, Richard Till taking 5-39.
Des Wyrill, who lives virtually opposite the Sessay ground, made 41 to give Thirsk's score an air of respectability.
Sessay lost an early wicket but Nick Harrison scored an unbeaten 65.
Champions Dunnington suffered with the weather for the fourth time when their home game against Heworth was washed out.
