RECENTLY two Tarmac cycle paths have been laid from Poppleton Road School to the river bridge at Clifton.
For the short distance involved were these really necessary?
Or is it that the footpath was so badly rutted and pot-holed it was not good enough for cyclists?
We have enough cycle paths, they used to be called footpaths.
A new footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the Ouse is proposed at a cost of £2 million while the roads and footpaths in my area are in a shocking state.
No wonder the Labour Party lost the local election. Lib Dems take note, four years is a short time in politics.
