WORLD-famous aerial daredevils the Red Arrows are to make a welcome return to this year's Yorkshire Air Show.
The team will perform at the Evening Press-sponsored occasion at Elvington Airfield near York over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The air show, the largest in the north of England, will celebrate Yorkshire's pivotal role in the history of air travel.
It will mark the 150th anniversary of the first machine flight by Yorkshire-born pioneer Sir George Cayley with a spectacular glider display and a replica of Cayley's Glider at the nearby Yorkshire Air Museum.
The show will also celebrate 100 years of powered air travel, with the centenary of the Wright Brother's first flight.
Spectacular entertainment will be provided by a Catalina Flying Boat, a Hawker Seahawk, a Sea Vixen and the Utterly Butterly Flying Circus.
