IN your leader referring to the Age Concern survey among elderly people, you state "...their fear cannot be explained away as a misconception created by the headline writers".
True, but do you consider your reporting to be responsible when the front-page coverage states "Elderly people are so terrified of crime, they are prisoners in their own homes, it was revealed today"?
This "terror" among the elderly "prisoners" was only "revealed" by your newspaper, not by objective analysis of the survey.
