YORK-BASED Eborienteers scooped several prizes at the British Orienteering Championships in Sheffield.
The club can now boast four British champions with Huntington Primary School pupil Charlotte Myers, 11, winning the W12B class, Jonathon Kendall retaining his M20 long course title, Tim Bean winning M20 short and Celia Wells taking the W65 long trophy by more than four minutes.
Alice Leake was unlucky to finish second in the W12A class, 40 seconds down on winner Catherine Bushnell (Walton Chasers). Both girls finished way ahead of the third-placed runner.
Other good results for Eborienteers came from Emily Andrews third in W16B, Janet Leake third W40 short, Steve Willis third M50 short, Helen Gardner third M50 long and Barrie Speake second M60 long.
Ebor women's premier team finished second in the British Relay Championships, also held in Sheffield, for the third year running.
Aislinn Austin had to drop out because of a family bereavement and her place was taken by former British squad member Cath Ashton, from Huntington.
Together with Heather Gardner and Jenny Whitehead they could not quite catch Interlopers (Edinburgh) who had made a flying start on their first leg.
Ebor men's premier team finished 19th after Matt Speake came home first on the opening leg.
Alice Leake ran the fifth fastest time overall, and the fastest from a girl, to finish third on the opening leg of the mixed junior relay.
Harriet Andrews and Charlotte Myers brought the team back in ninth - the third-placed girls' team.
