HARLEQUIN Entertainers thanked the Red Cross for their work with singer Dawn Moore, by presenting the group with a cheque.
The team raised £156.50 from a war-time sing-a-long at Poppleton Memorial Hall, York, and donated £126.50 to the Red Cross and £30 to Martin House Hospice.
Dawn, of Poppleton Road, who has been singing with the group since last July, benefited from the charity's work during a recent illness.
She said: "The Red Cross took me to hospital in Hull every day for eight weeks when I had no other transport, so I wanted to do something for them."
Harlequin presented the cheque at York Cricket Club, Shipton Road.
