DURING the last few years I have had several mini strokes because of hypertension.
A month ago I was really ill and not expected to live, but after only eight days I was much better and came back from hospital within a fortnight.
I can only put my quick recovery down to the wonderful care I received in York Hospital from the sister and nurses on Ward 25 who work so hard as well as the cheerful woman who brought us lovely meals and the cleaner who kept the floors spotless.

...MY wife Margaret had major surgery recently at York Hospital, where she spent nine days in Ward 16 and five days in Ward 14 before being discharged.
We thank all staff and nurses for their devotion and care during the recovery period.
They were all wonderful.
