The replica of Captain James Cook's ship, Endeavour, sails out of Scarborough bay on her way home to Whitby for her third visit to the town.
HM Bark Endeavour is expected to arrive triumphantly in its spiritual home at 8.30pm today, accompanied by a flotilla of yachts.
A spectacular fireworks display is scheduled to herald her arrival, and the start of the Endeavour Festival. She has been docked at King George Dock in Hull for the past few weeks while repairs and restoration work were carried out.
