Grants to plant more woodland are still available to farmers and landowners keen to benefit the environment and their businesses.
The Forestry Commission's Woodland Grant scheme closes to applications at the end of the month.
So this is the last chance for next season's planting schemes.
Dorothy Fairburn, of the Country and Landowners' Business Association, said:
"Woodland on farms can shelter stock, crops and game, making the farm more valuable, and it can complement farm-based attractions. But in fact anybody is eligible for funding, provided they own the land or have a long lease and landlord consent.
"We believe that more people could take advantage of the grant scheme and provide a sustainable resource which contributes to increased economic activity and a better environment."
