BEFORE a Bank Holiday weekend, many attractions roll out a gimmick which they hope will encourage more people through the turnstiles. But York Dungeon's latest exhibit might have the opposite effect.
Visitors to the Dungeon need strong stomachs to endure tableaux of gruesome death and torture. Yet even they might blanch at the terrifying sight of... Anne Robinson.
Mercifully, this is only an inanimate copy of The Weakest Link host. If the real Anne were there, delivering those painfully poor put-downs and executing that creepy end-of-show wink, even the other waxworks might flee in horror.
